Weigh-in results: Eight exciting matchups
Southern California fight fans are in for a treat–the very first All Star Boxing show of 2009!
Tonight’s “Battle of the Rising Stars” features eight action-packed bouts that will no doubt get the crowd on their feet. The fight card includes hot prospect JESUS “Pollo” HERNANDEZ (7-0) who will face off against the tough veteran MANUEL SARABIA (16-27). Also adding to this fistic night of excitement are the two pro debuts of HUGO RAMOS and SETH COLBROOK. And the main event of the evening is the matchup of heavy-handed FERNANDO ZUNIGA (27-9) squaring off against the durable DANNY STANISLAVJEVIC (8-14-3) which promises to make an entertaining night for the audience.
“People will be entertained with a variety of matchups. We have big guys, we have small guys, we have everything,” says All Star’s Pete Hironaka. “We also have some special guests that the crowd will enjoy seeing. It’s going to have a big crowd with a lot of fights tonight!”
