Mijares To Fight For Interim WBA Bantamweight Title
According to Humberto Vazquez of “El Siglo de Torreon”, former WBA/WBC super flyweight champion Cristian Mijares (39-4-1, 15KO) will face undefeated Venezuelan Nehomar Cermeño (16-0, 10KO) for the interim WBA bantamweight title on Saturday March 14th. The bout will take place at “Coliseo Centenario” in Torreon, MX. The twelve round contest will be the main event of the fight card which will be held to signal the closure of the annual “KO Drugs Festival” organized by the WBA and the Mexican State of Coahuila and promoted by KO Entertainment.
In the semi main event, Jorge Linares (26-0, 17KO) of Venezuela will defend his WBA super featherweight title against Josefat “Leoncito” Perez (12-1, 7KO).
