Hector Camacho back in action
January 18, 2009 by Edgar Gonzalez

Middleweight Hector Camacho, Jr. (48-3, 27 KOs) pounded out a one-sided ten round unanimousdecision over Sammy “Silk” Sparkman (20-18, 9 KOs) on Saturday night at the Rock Arena in Kissimmee, Florida. Camach dropped Sparkman in round five and rocked Sparkman numerous times, but the veteran Sparkman made it to the final bell. Scores were 100-89, 100-89, 99-90. After the fight, Camacho called for a showdown with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. “The fans want it,” he said. “It would be a historic fight. I want to get revenge for my father. It makes too much sense not to happen!” The card in Kissimmee was promoted by Sal Musumeci’s Final Forum Boxing.
