Rumors are circulating the internet about Danny Perez pulling out from fighting Alfredo Angulo. Promoter Gary Shaw was unsure why Perez pulled out, and added that if a replacement isn’t found quickly, Angulo’s appearance might get scrapped from the card.
This will be the second opponent pulling out, at first it was former two division champion Ricardo Mayorga after getting hurt during training supposedly, rumor has it that Mayorga wanted more money. No word why Perez pulled out.
Still scheduled to fight Valentine’s Day, Nate Campbell vs. Ali Funeka and Sergio Martinez vs. Kermit Cintron.
Anyways, to me Mayorga pulled out because he probably wanted more money for the beating he was going to get from Angulo and @ the end I think we wont see Angulo in this card, to late to find someone that is worth it

I was at the post fight with Gary Shaw and Angulo during the Arce-Vic post fight saturday night and I was also talking to Gary on Thusday during the final presser.
And why would he be a moron, maybe he didnt want to tell me why.
When I spoke with Gary about Mayorga and ask why he pulled out he said and I qoute “I am not going to tell you shit because I dont know why he pulled out.”
Don’t make any assumptions.
You are going to end up with a legal suit.
1. Shaw never spoke to you so stop spreading rumors that you did. You posted an item on fightnews as if the two of you spoke and made him sound like a moron where he didn’t know why the fighter pulled out. It’s been well written are reported why the fighter pulled out.
Thats a good idea. Its not fair to the other boxer. you dont get paid and you train your as$ off for noting.
It feels like Pero is not meant to be on this card. Still a good card but would have been great without the bs pull outs. There should be a penalty or suspension for pulling out after comitting unless a Doctor can prove otherwise.
