According to Steve Kim of Maxboxing, the card planned for March 28th in Tijuana, MX, is rounding outcastillo1 nicely. Staged by Bob Arum’s Top Rank and Zanfer Promotions as “Latin Fury 8″, the latest installment of their highly successful series of fight cards featuring Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., will once again feature the “Son of a Legend” Chavez Jr. Chavez Jr. will not face Argentina’s Luciano Cuello (23-0, 10KO) after it was originally reported that he would take on the Brazilian Carlos Nascimiento.

Rumoured to have been just added to the card is two time lightweight champion Jose Luis Castillo (57-9-1, 49KO) as he takes on former welterweight champion Antonio Diaz (45-5-1, 29KO) in a 147 lbs. match up.

Also on the card will be WBC super featherweight champion Humberto “Zorrita” Soto versus TBA and Fernando “Cochulito” Montiel against Puerto Rican Eric Morel for the interim WBA bantamweight title.

Top Rank will distribure the PPV and the venue has not been determined. Bob Arum and Tijuana’s mayor Jorge Ramos will be at hand tomorrow, Monday, in Los Angeles to officially announce the details of the card.

Cool, lots of myboxingfans will be there then.
I’m guessing the venue it’s going to be “El Auditorio Municipal, is where they always do boxing and mma fights, the other option could be @ “El foro” (used to be the Jai alai) but it’s a much smaller venue.

This looks like the best Boxing card TJ has had in a long time.
