The Annihilator Edwin Valero (24-0-24Kos) is preparing himself for his next bout on April 4, where he will face the experienced Antonio Pitalúa (46-3-0 40Kos) in Austin TX. When the news was read about the statements made by the Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez, the new WBA and WBO lightweight champion where he stated that he wants to fight Mayweather, Valero respond to the matter “I understand that Marquez is afraid that I will become the new WBC champion and to accept a challenge to fight me as champions.”
Marquez, 35 years old and with record of 50-4-1 37Kos, considered by many as one of the best boxers of Mexico today. Marquez declared that he wants to fight with the best so immediately Valero responded that he would like to know if Marquez is afraid of him and Valero is waiting to fight him only for the WBC title.
