Hatton is an aggressive punching machine. If you stand with him, he’ll break you down. He is a strong body puncher and he is as tenacious a boxer as you will ever see. How do you defeat him? SPEED… That is how Floyd Mayweather Jr. beat him. Get off first. Hit and not be hit. Give Ricky angles and counter punch his aggression. Can Manny Pacquiao follow the “Pretty Boy” blueprint?

I say that Manny can. He doesn’t have Mayweather’s speed or defensive prowess but he is shifty and I look for his southpaw style to trouble Ricky. I believe his deceptive speed will keep Hatton from really sitting down on his punches. Pacquiao will pick and choose when he wants to box and when he wants to brawl. Therefore he will dictate the pace. I’m not saying this will be an easy fight. Hatton is a world-class fighter and his sheer will create moments for him.
