Jermain Taylor gets knocked out!

To all my Twitter Followers, as I predicted, undefeated WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch scored a TKO over former middleweight champion Jermain Taylor with 14 seconds left in the 12th and final round to retain his title.

Taylor, who was ahead on all 3 scorecards entering the 11th round, looked tired and was using his defense. Taylor had Froch down in the second round from an overhand right, but Froch was able to get up and survive Taylor’s assault. Taylor was able to effectively counter Froch with his jab and right hand as Froch kept his hands by his waist the entire fight. As the fight wore on, the effective punching by Taylor wore thin as he was tiring out but the former champion was still able to keep Froch from landing anything flush.

The 12th round was a different story as Froch was able to come out and land a big right that put Taylor down on the canvas. Taylor was visibly hurt as Froch came in firing away. The end came as Froch put Taylor up against the ropes and unloaded several shots that Taylor had no answer for, prompting referee Michael Ortega to stop the bout.

What a great fight, Taylor had this fight won and AGAIN he let it go, he should have clinch instead of staying there taking shots, I’m amazed he took all of those shots before going down.
And what a great comeback for Froch, non stop action both ways, I really enjoyed watching this one!
