The $15 million that Felix “Tito” Trinidad needs guaranteed to face off against Bernard Hopkins are not a sure thing.
Not if Don King has anything to do with it.
“I am not going to discuss that in the newspaper. All I am going to say is that I will try to make that fight a reality,” King stated to a well known Puerto Rican daily.
As always, King did not keep his word in not discussing the ongoing negotations for the proposed fight between boxing legends.
“There will be no guarantees. If they want, we can split the profits between Hopkins, Trinidad an myself,” King said. King mentioned that he doesn’t seeing an issue in making the fight as long as he comes to terms with Trinidad’s father, “Papa Trinidad.”
