Once the bout was confirmed between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez for July 18th in Las Vegas, the WBO-WBA lightweight champion began his training to face the Mayweather Jr who once was considered the best fighter in the world.

Marquez stated that he is going to change his training methods in relation to previous bouts since this time he is going to have to gain eight pounds to face the undefeated Mayweather Jr.

Marquez is hoping that the swine flu break out in Mexico City is not enough reason to leave is home town.

“I am going to have a special diet, different exercises, weight training so I can gain eight pounds of muscle and so I can be quick and strong.  We are going to work with team that includes a nutritionist, a weight lifting coach and I am going to work out every weekend in the mountains
of Toluca where I think I can get fully prepared,” Marquez stated from Las Vegas.

“If I beat Mayweather Jr., in November I would be ready to face Manny Pacquiao,” Marquez added.

Marquez has faced Pacquiao twice, one a draw and a split decision loss last year.

that they should fight to see who is the true p4p king is true but mayweather style of fighting which is smart but not very exciting to watch!! i dont kno if that fight would reach the complete distance u talk about unless mayweather is willing to get in there a bit and trade which i doubt i think if they do fight it will be one sided it from both fighter! mayweather with his defense and speed can jux tag pacman all day and jux slip throu pacman punches or pacman agressiveness and willingness to push forward with the rite speed and strength can be overwhelming for mayweather causing it a onesided fight as well!! like i said i see it going both ways but about being a great fight to literally watch and keeps u on ur toes i doubt it those two styles of fighting jux dont do good together for a show!!
