Top Rank’s Bob Arum is planning on showcasing two title fights in Las Vegas and two championship fights from the Araneta Coliseum in Manila, Philippines, on the same date with all four title bouts broadcast on PPV.
The proposed date is August 22nd.
The plan changed from mounting a show from AT&T Park in San Francisco, the home of the Giants, as it was thought of originally.
Arum’s plan is to have the IBF flyweight champion Nonito Donaire go up to the 115 lbs. division and challenge the newly crowned WBO champion Jose “Carita” Lopez while Brian Viloria defends his WBC jr. flyweight title against an opponent to be determined in Manila.
In Las Vegas, the WBO strawweight champ Donnie Nietes defends against Manuel Vargas of Mexico and featherweight Bernabe Concepcion challenges WBO champ Steven Luevano.
