Chris Arreola to replace Davis Haye

areolaBy Alexey Potapov from FightNews. IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko will fight on June 20th at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. While various heavyweight contenders hope to step in to replace Davis Haye, Wlad has already made it clear that he wants Chris Arreola. “If the fight against David Haye doesn’t take place, I’ll fight against Chris Arreola,” Wlad said on the Alexey Potapov Boxing Diary published on the Russian site Sports.ru.

WoW, now this would be huge for Chris ! but will he be ready for this? is only a few weeks away, I would hate for him to have such a great chance at the big titles and take a fight that he hasn’t really prepare fully for it.
I want to hear more about this.

Since Chris Arreola is never in shape anyway, I don’t think it will matter if the fight is a few weeks he way. He looks like he trains more at the all you can eat buffet table than he does in the gym and by doing roadwork.

Since Arreola can punch, he is one of those fighters that had gotten away from being in fighting shape because his fights usually don’t last too long.
That always catches up on them eventually.

Believe me I am not talking about coming in looking like Hollyfield and Ken Norton used to. I am just not talking about not being fat. heavyweights like Holmes, Lewis didn’t have those muscle bodies, but were in shape and weren’t burdened with pounds of pure fat on them.

I would love to see Arreola win and really test the “The Russian Robot” .
