Father and trainer of Felix “Tito” Trinidad, Don Felix, has recommended for his son to hang up the gloves.
Trinidad has gone more than 18 months with out seeing any action so that has prompted for his father to state:
“When he realizes that he should announce, he will say it to all of Puerto Rico but the choice he must make is retirement,” his father stated. “The truth is, ‘Tito’ has not been in the gym since he fought Roy Jones.”
Trinidad last fought in January of ’08 against Jones after not lacing up the gloves in three years. He already had announced his retirement once before in 2002 but in 2004 he stepped inside the squared circle once again but only to retire in 2005 after losing to Ronald “Winky” Wright
