Another TKO for Valero

Edwin Valero (26-0, 26 KOs) demolishes Héctor Velázquez (51-14-2, 35 KOs) via TKO in Round 6 on Saturday night at the Polideportivo Jose Maria Vargas in La Guaira, Caracas, Venezuela.

Valero suffered small cuts on the bridge of the nose and over the left eye, both caused by unintentional headbutts in the first round. Velazquez tried to exchange punches, but it was Valero who had the upper hand and continue to dominate throughout the fight Velazquez didn’t come out for the seventh round.

“It was a little frustrating,” Valero said of the cuts, “but gradually I realized that the fight was mine.” The cuts aren’t expected to cause any problems with his scheduled February 6th fight against Antonio DeMarco scheduled to take place at a site in Mexico. It was Valero’s first fight in his homeland in nearly four years. “This is a gift for all of Venezuela,” he said after the fight.

It was sarcasm up there, It’s to early to say if Valero can beat any of the champions, he has mostly fought bums so how can you say he can beat Pacquiao? or any of the champions, maybe he is the real deal, but we don’t know that yet, we have to wait and see.

As far as Khan goes he is a good fighter, I like the fact he got KO badly and has learn from it and seems to be on the right path.
