The two time lightweight world champion Jose Luis Castillo stated in his adopted hometown of Mexicali, MX, that in 2010 he again will be a world champion in either the junior welterweight or welterweight divisions.
Castillo, who fights under the Zanfer Promotions banner, also revealed that he hopes to engage in one more tune up fight before beginning his campaign towards a world title.
“In my last fight, when I stopped Carlos Urias in two rounds in Tepic, I weighed in at 145 lbs. and the one before that in Cabo San Lucas against Cristian Solano, I tipped the scales at 147 lbs. In my next fight I hope to weigh in at 140 lbs. to see how I feel in that division,” he concluded.
