De La Hoya Says Mayweather will Face Mosley and Pacquiao!

Oscar De La Hoya is confident that his promotional company, Golden Boy Promotions, will soon seal the deal so that Floyd Mayweather Jr. faces “Sugar” Shane Mosley and soon after that he is confident that Mayweather will face Manny Pacquiao.
“This fight must happen,” De La Hoya stated regarding the proposed bout between 
Mayweather and Pacquiao which crumbled earlier this year. “It is too big of a fight for it not to happen. All we need is to get past one obstacle.”
De La Hoya spoke about the state of the welterweight division last Tuesday in a press conference to announce the February 25th Club Nokia fight card headlined by super lightweight Victor Ortiz.
De La Hoya mentioned that the proposed Mayweather-Mosley fight is tentatively scheduled for May 1st.
“Both sides are working very diligently for the fight to happen, De La Hoya stated. “This is the fight that can take boxing to the next level because it is between two American fighters who are willing to face each other.”
Despite who wins on May 1st, De La Hoya is confident that Mayweather’s path will cross with Pacquiao’s, who is considered the pound for pound #1 fighter and is slated to fight Joshua Clottey on March 13th at Cowboy Stadium in Dallas, TX.
“I hope the public will help Pacquiao change his stance,” De La Hoya said regarding Pacquiao’s hesitation of having blood drawn near fight night. “Who would not be interested in earning $40 million dollars? Because one of the fighters didn’t want to be upfront with the boxing fans. One has to be brave and do what is right.”

hey BOXING FAN i am 5′6 TALL and i went from 135 lbs, to 157 lbs. in 18 months is that mean im on roids too ha,ha,ha, so tell maywether to get his butt in the ring and fight, and stop demanding a stupid bloodtest, and remember floyd use to be a light weight, so how did he gained all the way to weterweight …………….it is not about hiding something its about principle that no one will order you around ,you know what i mean if you know what principle is………..i hope we both agree on that one……….

I’m just not a Mayweather fanboy like you are, I wont eat all the BS he usually throws, taking on quality opponent is what he needs to do and he is doing, but in true Floyd fashion he has to throw some BS talk (same as you do) on how he wanted this fight so much, yet he took more than a week without signing..yeah..
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Mayweather vs Pacquiao will be in the fall sometime. I’m guessing right around September. Everything going on now is HYPE !! Don’t you people get it ??? HYPE is great for boxing. We actually need it. It makes the sport more interesting. The ‘why’ and the ‘why nots’, name calling and throwing in Mosley and Clottey’s names is exactly what the doctor order.
