Undefeated WBC #2 ranked featherweight Juan Carlos Burgos (25-0, 18 KOs) scored a tenth round TKO over Ricardo “Piolo” Castillo (38-8-1, 25 KOs) on Saturday night at the Tecate Arena at the Tecate Boxing Tour event in Guadalajara, Mexico. Burgos was in command throughout the fight and Castillo abruptly remained on his stool at the beginning of the eleventh round. With the win, Burgos (the nephew of ex-champ Victor Burgos) earned a shot at the WBC featherweight belt.
