The scheduled fight between Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora (22-1-1, 6 KOs) and veteran JC Candelo (30-10-4, 20 KOs) on July 23rd at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California has been cancelled. The bout was to be the main event televised by Telefutura.
The “Latin Snake” will now focus on a proposed pay-per-view showdown with Sugar Shane Mosley on September 18th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Mora returned to the ring with a seventh round stoppage of Calvin Green this past April in his first fight in almost seventeen months. Mosley (46-6, 39 KOs) is coming off a twelve round decision loss to Floyd Mayweather in May.
