An inside source told MyBoxingFans that they spotted a representative of Manny Pacquiao in Tijuana, Mexico, to possibly discuss the match up against Antonio Margarito. Rumor is now that Bob Arum is planning on a trip to Monterrey on Thursday, July 22, to the Mexican city being eyed to host Manny Pacquiao’s Nov. 13 fight with the “Tijuana Tornado.” Mike Koncz, Pacquiao’s advisor, will also make the trip as they explore the possibilities of staging Pacquiao’s bout there.

Abu Dhabi is also another possible location. You’re probably scratching your head and thinking why Manny Pacquiao would fight outside the US. Considering Antonio Margarito is not licensed in the US?

That’s not the main reason, so why you ask? TAXES!

“It’s because of economics,” said Mike Koncz, revealing that the United Arab Emirates and Mexico won’t subject Pacquiao and the other fighters’ earnings to taxes. “We’re not talking about $20,000 in taxes, we’re talking about taxes in millions of dollars.”

Rumor is that the fight might be for the title Sergio Martinez left vacant, the WBC jr. middleweight belt, which means the fight might take place at 154.

    We don’t really want too see Another Cotto fight really at lease some of fan will watch it but who are we would know what the outcome will be….LOL

    It’s funny how some people like to say Mayweather picks and choose his opponents meanwhile Arum does the same thing with Pacquio…. get out here…..

  2. Margarito has just as much of a chance as hes had in all his other fights. He’s a good fighter when he’s not cheating. I wouldnt underestimate him, remeber he has alot of size and reach over manny. The problem is his style, If he follows manny around the ring he is going to get wrecked. I think margarito is a one trick pony, And I see him doing exactly that (following manny and getting his ass beat). Unless he gets lucky and manny runs out of gas like cotto did, But i doubt that unless margo. pulls a switchblade or something lol.

  5. Everybody remember that promoters make fights that make money, not necessarily the fight we as fans want or care for. Margarito vs Pacquiao is perfect especially in Mexico. Monterrey, here I come.
    Like it or not, pay the PPV fee or not, Margarito having a chance against Pacquiao or not, is irrelevant. If the fight makes $$$ sense, it will happen.
