After getting knocked out by Saul “Canelo” Alvarez in six rounds, former world champion Carlos “Tata” Baldomir is back not for redemption but for his 401K plan.
“I’m looking to fight 3 or 4 more times. My reputation and near future in boxing are at stake,” stated Baldomir during a press conference yesterday in Argentina.
Carlos Baldomir (45-13-6, 14 KOs) will take on Amilcar Funes (22-9, 13 KOs) this Friday in Funes’ hometown at the Estadio Aldo Cantoni in San Juan, San Juan, Argentina. The bout will be promoted by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Arano Box Promotions. The bout will air live on the HBO Plus service in Latin America with the telecast beginning at 10:00pm local time (9:00pm ET). In the United States, the TeleFutura broadcast will begin at 11:30pm ET / PT (10:30pm CT).

Baldomir should just hang em up, that was a pretty ugly knockout he took from Canelo as with any boxer I would hate to see anybody get seriously injured.
