Teaming up with the great Ronnie Shields, the same man who helped guide Tomasz Adamek in his win against Arreola, The Nightmare made quick work of Joey Abell with a first round technical knockout out. Abell who looked as if he was well in the contest for the first part of round one was caught hard with a powerful right hand. Realizing Abell was hurt, Arreola stepped up and wildly threw as Abell stumbled around until the referee stepped in for the stoppage.
Arreola has found himself in a good place on ESPN Friday Night Fights. He is slowly working himself back up to his status in which he was consistently fighting on HBO. I was hoping to see Arreola showcase his fighting talent now that he has trained with Shields, but I guess there will be a next time.

Well he did cut a good amount of weight and looked like he trained well so I won’t write him off just yet.
This fight only provewd that he can beat a bum in one round. Big deal !!
