Undefeated Light Heavyweight and Jr. Welterweight Knockout Artist Featured
ESPN’s Friday Night Fights will originate from ESPN’s Wide World Of Sports Complex as part of ESPN the Weekend on March 4 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2 where undefeated, light heavyweight Ismayl Sillakh (14-0, 12 KO’s, WBC #8) and Jr. welterweight “Sugar” Ray Narh (24-1, 21 KO’s) are featured in 10-round co- main events. Each won their last fight on the undercard of the Bernard Hopkins-Roy Jones Jr. main event. Joe Tessitore and Teddy Atlas will be ringside at the Josten’s Center, describing the action.
Ukrainian and California resident Sillakh, who has progressed well and moved up in class of opposition, will take another big step when he meets undefeated hometown favorite Yordanis “King Caney” Despaigne (8-0, 4 KO’s). Last April, Sillakh TKO’d Daniel Judah, brother of former welterweight champ Zab Judah. ESPN.com’s Dan Rafael wrote, “Sillakh, took a solid step up in competition against the experienced Judah and blew him away with shocking ease. Judah had been stopped only once previously and had lost distance fights against top contenders such as Glen Johnson, Yusaf Mack and Eric Harding. Sillakh, however, won the first round and then dropped him twice for the knockout 49 seconds into the second. Sillakh fired nice straight punches and worked upstairs and downstairs to dismantle Judah.”
Manager Ivaylo Gotsev said, “When you watch Ismayl float through the ring, you just can’t help but be reminded of Muhammad Ali. He floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee. He’s like this reincarnation of these old fighters that were so pretty to watch and had the passion for it.”
Ghana native and New York resident, Narh, who has won 14 fights in a row, 12 by knockout, will meet California southpaw Fred “Lil Hagler” Norwood (42-3-1, 22 KO’s). Narh is coming off a second round TKO win. “I feel good fighting lefthanders because I have the keys to beat them. Since I started fighting, no lefthander has beaten me,” said Narh. “If I ever had a chance to fight Pacquiao, I would stop him. I’m telling you – I know how to beat him. I want to fight big fights – they should come. I’m ready to showcase myself. After this fight, I hope the big fights are coming.”

This season is way better then the last one they had some descent match-ups so far and at least they aren’t giving away victories as much as last year.
