Philippines. For his May 7 WBO welterweight title defense against Shane Mosley which is 46 days away and well Manny concretes in his training camp his lawyers are also working hard too.

Manny Pacquiao’s defamation lawsuit against Oscar de la Hoya, Golden Boy’s CEO Richard Schaefer, and Floyd Mayweather, and others for falsely accusing him of taking performance enhancing drugs continues. A Nevada federal judge said in a court order Monday that he will not dismiss the case.

The defendants responded to the lawsuit by asking the judge to dismiss it, saying their statements were merely opinions. U.S. District Judge Larry Hicks said Pacquiao has sufficient evidence to continue his lawsuit that alleges Mayweather, Mayweather’s father and uncle, Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions’ Richard Schaefercted with malice by embarked on a campaign to make people think Pacquiao uses performance-enhancing drugs.

The 2009 suit came as both sides were battling to reach an agreement for a proposed fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. The negotiations fell apart over demands by the Mayweather camp that both fighters submit to random blood and urine tests leading up to the fight. Mayweather wanted blood tests up to 14 days before the fight, while Pacquiao claimed he feels weak after drawing blood and would not agree to testing within 24 days

Pacquiao is represented by Daniel Petrocelli and David Marroso of Los Angeles-based O’Melveny & Myers. Petrocelli said,” We are extremely pleased with the Court’s decision. Manny is looking forward to his day in court and to put an end to these irresponsible accusations.”

  1. This is pretty much pointles, whats to gain from this there are people who will still think that he’s on steroids or used them and theres people that don’t. Honestly I don’t think he does or has.

  2. Pacman should go ahead with this suit. Its no secret that the mayweathers dont know when to shut up. But they have gone to far with the olyimpic drug test stupidity and those irresponsible accusations. First they said manny is taking steroids and then tried to make him take a drug test thats not sanctioned by the commition, Thats an unwarrented accusation if I ever heard one. In my eyes thats a deliberate attack on mannys character and an attempt to ruin his reputation. This is Floyd proving me right again, “hes his own worst enemy”. All his sad games are coming back to bite him on the ass including his stupidass drug test. Go get him Pacman!!!

  3. Seriously, I don’t see the point of all this. The lawsuit solves nothing. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I hope this is isn’t the kind of distractions that don’t let you train or fight properly.

  4. When the defamation suit is finally over and Floydie loses, and he has no other apparent source of income, he will be renamed as PRETTY BOY FLOYD NOMOREMONEY MAYWEATHER. ha ha ha.
