Pascal Calls Bernard Hopkins a Cheater

Bernard Hopkins will be facing Jean Pascal again on May 21 at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Yesterday they hosted there first press conference which ended with Pascal being restrained after a shoving broke out. Pascal accused Hopkins of being a cheater and suspect he may be using performance-enhancing drugs.

“Are you willing to take a blood test for the fans and the rest of the world to prove you’re clean? You’re from the same family as Shane Mosley. Are you willing to take the test?” Pascal demanded. “I won in Quebec City last December and I will decisively win the rematch. But this time when I send him to the canvas, I’ll make sure he doesn’t get up again.”

Hopkins called Pascal a “scared punk” who was preparing excuses in advance in case he loses. The 46-year-old Hopkins is hoping to become the oldest fighter to win a major world title.

“I’m a threat and my age doesn’t matter, Pascal knows it. He was credited with two knockdowns and is almost 20 years younger than me and he still wasn’t able to win the fight,” stated Hopkins. “The fans know who really won. I gave Pascal an old-fashioned beating and I’ll do it again. Believe me, Pascal knows exactly what’s waiting for him on May 21 – it will be ‘execution time’ again.”

  1. lol hopkins is a dirty fighter but not because of steroids. I think Pascals pride is hurt cuz he couldnt ko the old man lol.

  2. lmaooooo wow pascal is a bumb. he got beat by hopkins the first fight and hopkins was robbed. now he is scared of hopkins and now he is calling him a cheater lmaooooo i hope hopkins knocks him out that would be the end of pascal… lets go hopkins whoop that azzzzzz

  4. I thought Pascal was a little classier then that. To accuse Hopkins of using because Mosley did is just down right stupid. He got beat and was lucky to get the draw in my book. Maybe it is just something he’s putting out there as an excuse he can claim if he loses to Hopkins. Pascal would have to stop Hopkins to win or hope that the old man put it all out there last time around and is actually finished.
