8-time division champion Manny Pacquiao attended his media conference call to promote his upcoming fight with “Sugar” Shane Mosley live on PPV May 7th from MGM Grand, Las Vegas NV.
In typical Manny fashion, he was running late getting on the conference call so Top Rank CEO Bob Arum and trainer Freddie Roach spoke about the upcoming fight. Arum seemed less than thrilled about being on the call stating,”Roach will again answer the same questions he has been asked for the last 6 months”.
However when Manny did arrive on the call, he gave his best congressman quotes in which he stated he has been, “hungry, excited and motivated to train hard” for the upcoming fight.
Manny was asked about Floyd Mayweather and why they have not met in the ring. Manny had little explanation as to why Maweather has not agreed to fight him or if perhaps he thought Mayweather was afraid to face him, Pacman said “it’s hard to judge him (Mayweather), I don’t know what is the reason.”
Manny also went on record to clear the question about Mayweather waiting for Manny to get a little older before he fights him as a joke and not a real belief. In the end it seemed that all the participants had little to say that has not already been said and with the fight being less than 10 days away, there may be nothing more to say as Arum stated, “enough, enough, enough, John let’s wind this up.”
