Who’s going to win, Wladimir or David Haye?

The question of who is going to win the anticipated fight between Wladimir Klitschko and titleholder David Haye is a question as hotly debated as whether a roll of toilet paper should unroll from the front or the back.

The date is set for July 2 at the 55,000 seat Hamburg Imtech Arena in the second-biggest city in Germany.

Boxing fans have waited several years for this fight. Klitschko (55-3, 49 KOs) and Haye (25-1, 23 KOs) were scheduled to fight in June of 2009 but at the end, it fell apart.

My preference? Although the contracts are signed and the date and venue are now set, I’m not going to choose anyone until I see both fighters in the ring. The way I prefer the roll of toilet paper is for it to unroll from the back.

  1. @ Sam, he’s capable of winning but I give it a 25% chance for Haye and 75% to Klitschko. I think Haye has to get inside and land some bombs early while Klitschko can stay on the outside and work his jab all night. I don’t think Haye will have the stamina to go a full 12 rounds and actually pull out a decision. Although I say they can both pull the K.O. but Klitschko has the better chance of landing the significant shots. Not a big fan of either one but I’d put my money on Klitschko by TKO. I think Adamek has a better chance than Haye to dethrone a Klitschko he’s got better footwork and a warrior’s mentality. Either way I want to see this fight because I think Haye and Adamek are the only two legit challengers unless Chris Arreola keeps himself in shape and trains harder and puts combos together he might have a shot as well but I say 1 to 2 years before he’s ready again. Alex Povetkin I don’t think will have much of a shot and he isn’t in a rush to fight a Klitschko.

  2. Overated fighter ? bollocks. Haye has not proven himself as much but his KO stats show it all but i think he can win

  3. This is an easy win for Klitschko. Haye is another overrated fighter. Why can’t people see that. Who has he beaten ???
