Floyd Mayweather (42-0, 26 KOs) scored a fourth round KO over Victor Ortiz (29-3-2, 22 KOs) winning the WBC welterweight title on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather, coming from a 16 month layoff, showed no ring rust, landing 73 of 208 punches to just 26 of 148 for Ortiz. Mayweather won all three rounds on two ringside scorecards, dominating with speed and landing powerful right hands to the head of Ortiz which caused Ortiz eye to swell.

Ortiz in frustration desperately head butted Mayweather intentionally forcing the fair but firm Joe Cortez to take a point away from him. After the head butt, Ortiz went to Mayweather and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

After the referee deducted a point he clapped his hands and said “lets go” as both fighters leaned forward and Ortiz hugged and apologize again. I am sorry but this is not MMA. Once you’re being told to fight, you fight and protect yourself at all times.

Mayweather then clocked Ortiz with two shots that knocked him out. Ortiz couldn’t beat the count. Mayweather wins by KO within seconds to end round 4.

“We touched gloves and we were back to fighting and then I threw the left and right hand after the break,” Mayweather said. “In the ring you have to protect yourself at all times.”

Mayweather was a 5-1 favorite in the fight and ahead on the score cards did nothing wrong. The punches he landed were legal and the Nevada State Commission awarded him with the win.

Many people immediately accused Floyd of wrong doing regardless of the fact that Ortiz intentionally head butted Floyd first. During the replay, it showed Cortez looking away which is irrelevant, Cortez motioned both fighters to fight and while Cortez signals to start the time, Floyd clocked Ortiz.

Referee Joe Cortez told the Las Vegas Review Journal that Mayweather’s KO punch was a legal shot, “Time was in,” Cortez said. “The fighter needs to keep his guard up. Mayweather did nothing wrong.”

I honestly think people are just hating on Mayweather. I don’t know if is because he is undefeated and making a minimum of $25 million for this fight has anything to do with but is not just the fans, it’s also HBO’s commentator Larry Merchant.

After the fight Merchant didn’t hold back and triggered Floyd to explode.

“You never give me a fair shake. You know that? So I’m gonna let you talk to Victor Ortiz, alright? I’m through! Put somebody else up here to give me an interview,” Mayweather told Larry after the fight.
“You never give me a fair shake! HBO needs to fire you! You don’t know shit about boxing! You ain’t shit! You’re not shit!”

Which Larry Merchant simply responded, “I wish I was 50 years younger and I’d kick your ass!” which was a classic end to the night.

  1. MIC Oh.. I like MMA and DO understand it. I just differ on your take on how it’s going to make boxing practically disappear. I’ve ordered a few UFC events along with my co-worker friend. My son enjoys it a bit too but not as much as we like boxing. Yes, boxing has it’s ups and downs and many of these events are not PPV worthy. i also see a lot of non-PPV fights that are action filled and regularly attend fights here on the Island. I get a kick out of the prelim 4 and 6 rounders, usually a lot more than most MMA/UFC fights that I’ve watched, although I seen quite a few good ones on the Spike channel. Even the Spanish Fox Deportes channel have regular UFC programs, which I occasionally watch. I love sontact sports, enjoy purist boxing, slugging.. and I even get a kick watching WWE wrestling. And I’ve been in the fight game for a very long time, started boxing at age ten, in 1961. I come from a fight oriented family of trainers, managers, fighters and I myself have both fought and trained fighters, which I still do but not regularly anymore, just donate a couple of nights a week at our local gym. No, it doesn’t make me a maximum authority in no way, just very experienced. Work in the corners of a couple of world champs like former WBO 118 and 122Lbs champ, Daniel “Cobra” Jimenez, 3 time world welter challenger Wilfredo Rivera, who fought Pernell Whitaker (twice) and De La Hoya in title attempts. and other title challengers like Jose Badillo and Daniel Alicea, both of whom challenged Hamed and a few other ex prospects and contenders.

Oh.. before I forget, I’ll still remember sitting next to my dear old Grandma every now and then to watch SOAP OPERAS too. Occasionally I STILL do with my wife and daughter. Well… only til the first commercial break and then slip awayy to watch HOURS of boxing. I have quite a collection, well over 12,000 fights, probably closer to 15,000 from all eras, especially those 50s and 60s black & white fights, which happen to be my prize favorites. Anyway… nice to respectfully debate. Hasta luego!!

  2. @mictone,
With all due respect but you still don’t get it. The only foul commited here was by Ortiz. Weather Floyd was injured or not is irrelevant. He was penalized according to the rules. Floyd commited no fouls or bent the rules in any way. He waited for the ref to call time back in BEFORE any new, legal punches were thrown. If Ortiz wants to use ‘fighting time’ to kiss and make up again, then that’s his decision. Mayweather chose to fight instead. That’s what you do when the ref says “lets go” and motions for the fighters to continue. Cortez looking at ringside is irrelevant. Any comments about what Pacquiao will or won’t due are irrelevant as well.

  3. The worst thing about trying to justify floyd is he admitted to it being dirty so good try. WE’RE NOT HERE TO TALK ABOUT WHAT HE DID DIRTY OR WHAT I DID DIRTY..sound familiar? The head but didn’t even land but the sucker punches did..I lost in the end cuz I ordered the b.s and once pacman whoops floyds ass no one will even care about the one dimensional sport. Some fights are boring to those who don’t understand what’s goin on but who cares about them let them go watch a soap opera or music videos.

  4. @MICTONE hmmmm… Watch closely and you will see that they did do a rather light embrace and Ortiz stepped back with his hands down and Floyd wasted no time in hooking Ortiz. Ref Cortez wasn’t mentally somewhere else. He MOMENTARILY looked towards and communicated with the timekeeper. With all due respects but you’re sort of knit-picking a bit. It was at that moment that Floyd took a swipe at The Billy Goat. TRUTH is that Ref Cortez already had told them “LET’S GO” and motioned for them to continue before Victor’s THIRD apology. Com’on man, these are pros. Anybody with minor amateur experience knows that it was time to FIGHT. If Ortiz chose to apologize again well then…. it’s on him. If you did review it you yourself will have to admit that Ortiz WASN’T looking at the ref when Floyd hooked him, right?? What DID happen was that Ortiz NEVER expected that Floyd would take advantage of him with his hands down. AND… I’m equally sure that Floyd NEVER expected Victor to INTENTIONALLY butt him neither, right? Can I get an AMEN on that??

As for you prediction that MMA will replace boxing, well… NEVER HAPPEN. I’ve seen some pretty boring MMA bout, many of them. Boxing will never die. For every fan that jumps to MMA another couple of new boxing fans will come and get addicted to the sport we love. Boxing is THAT kind of a sport. MMA has risen quite a bit but ‘replace’ boxing?? No way. I don’t think so.

  5. If we get the legal out of the punch and realize that when ortiz put his hands to touch gloves floyd was goin to but swung instead. Watch closely as he double crossed both vic and the ref..to make matters worse the ref wasn’t even paying attention! In mma the fighters touch gloves and fight not oh k.o protect yourself at all times lmao my god how boxing is a sinking ship, just go in youtube if you want to see cheap shots.

  6. @EZ,
I agree 100%. Before this whole thing happened, Cortez had already warned Ortiz for leading with his head earlier in the round. What Mayweather did was at worst unsportsmanlike, AT WORST. I’ve said this repeatedly already that I sound like a broken record. Love or hate Floyd, we have to be objective as you said.

Funny thing though…during the “Face Off” episode, Mayweather talks to Ortiz about the forth round and plays a scenario where ‘what if’ Ortiz was loosing the fight to that point and what he would do about it. Then Mayweather says to Ortiz, ” If you make a mistake you have to pay”. In fact he told Ortiz twice.

  7. I will admit that Joe Cortez might not be as efficient as he was years ago, who is, especially when your pushing 70 years old. Now that been said, since Monday I’ve played the 4th round back OVER and OVER about two dozen times. The TRUTH is that after Victor intentionally butts Floyd ref Cortez stops the action as the 10-second signal sounded that indicates a end of the round. As Cortez is stopping the clock Ortiz immediately approuches Money May to apologize with a hug and a kiss. As Cortez grabs Victors arm to indicate a one point deduction Victor reaches out to Floyd to apologize AGAIN. Ref Cortez says to Victor, “What’s the matter with you man, huh? Don’t do it again. Don’t be doing that!!”

And then… you can hear as PLAIN AS DAY when Cortez says “Let’s go” and then CLEARLY motions to the combatants to continue fighting and looks at the time keeper. But instead of OBEYING the ref’s instructions Victor ONCE AGAIN wants to hug and apologize. After the hug he slowly and un-wisely pulls back unprotected. There is NO NEED for ANOTHER indication to continue fighting. He IS NOT LOOKING at Cortez waiting for instructions when Floyd lands that left hook. Actually it’s the force of that punch that turns his head in Cortez’ direction.

The problem is that this part of the TRUTH of the situation was NEVER re-played by HBO nor brought to light by any of the media sources. I consider myself an OBJECTIVE FIGHT FAN. Truth be told, no matter what. I’ll invite ANYONE to respectfully debate the issue.

If we/you/anybody OBJECTIVELY review the fight a few times over, without prejudices, you will see where I’m coming from, whether you agree or not. Actually, I’m glad that I did because I saw a few things that I had initially missed but now have a more CLEAR perspective of the events.

My respects to Edgar, the staff and posters of this fine “fair and firm” boxing site. Peace to all.

  8. @ Edgar i told you

  9. Flat out what Floyd did was legal, yes it was dirty, disrespectful and plain cowardly way to end a fight but it was still legal. Now what Ortiz did was an illegal headbutt, also dirty and cowardly but none the less illegal. Not the way I wanted to see the fight end, it was disappointing but blame could also be laid upon Joe Cortez he should have kept his eyes on the fight and separated the fighters until whatever the hell he was doing was not distracting him from the fight. All three men in the ring were unprofessional. Kenny Bayless the best referee in the game should have been the ref in this fight. At the end of the night Ortiz got dirty first, he lost focus and should have been prepared to defend himself. He was eventually going to lose the fight there was no evidence that would make me feel otherwise he was landing some shots yes but Floyd was unfazed and was getting comfortable. If anybody expected anything less from Mayweather at that moment than what happened obviously doesn’t know Mayweather. I can understand people being upset but at the end of the day the inexperience of Ortiz was on display and he learned a crude lesson in Boxing that night that will either make him stronger or not. Mayweather neither gained or lost any respect in my book I simply don’t care for the guy personally but I respect his skill and knew he’d take full advantage of any of Ortiz’s mistakes and boy did he. Ortiz will never forget one of the most basic rules in Boxing after that night and thats: Protect Yourself at all times.

  10. To all, bottom line is the fight is over and the record book will read KO for mayweather.

I said in June that mayweather cherry picked this fight cause he knew he was going to win the fight cause of the Ortiz’s boxing style. No, one knew that it was going to end that way. Thank god I don’t pay for mayweather PPV events and wait to see it on youtube.

With that said, at the post fight conference mayweather said he dos not need Pacquia to prove anything to anyone. Where was Pacquia in the 90’s and 2000’s. Well unlike you mayweather he had to work for his name to be put on the top from the beginning of his career. Yeah you have skills but from day 1 you had a name thanks to you father and uncle.

Yes, you do need Pacquia if you want to claim the title of greatest ever. We know that after he beats Marques that mayweather will not give us (the fans) what we want cause deep down inside he is scared. If it is for money he fights then that is the fight that will break all records. So mayweather lets get down to business and sign a fight with Manny after the Marques fight. Put up or shut you fat mouth.

  11. No doubt what Floyd did was cheap. But a headbutt??????? C’mon Victor. Even the way he did it was rediculous. And lets not forget that Cortez warned the “Vicious” one earlier that round for the same reason. Now i am definitely not a Mayweather fan, but i am a boxing fan and see “Money” as being at the top of the food chain. Ortiz threw the first dirty blow and Floyd made him pay.

The only reason Mayweather should think twice about what he did is how this going to affect his “Greatest of All-Time” legacy. If thats what he wants to be remembered as. Without a doubt the Michigan raised pugilist did not have to resort to the “cheap shot heard ’round the world” to win the bout. Lets not forget only one judge had the Golden Boy protege winning a round and im not sure what contest he was watching. As for his complete lack of respect for Larry Merchant one can only say that’s Floyd’s way of dodging the inevitable question that he was faced with……”How about Pac-Man?”

As for the Canelo fight……….bad officiating plain and simple. The first two PPV undercard bouts that night were very entertaining though, and almost made up for the early stoppage. Its great to see Morales in the ring again. He’s a hall of famer, that goes without saying, but i hope his coming out of retirement doesnt lead to El Terrible sufferiung some bad beats in the twilight of his career. He still has it, somewhat. Fighting at a higher weight class than we’ve ever seen him before just shows how great he is. The fact the he can adapt his style to fit the physical restrictions that father time has placed on him shows Erik is a true champion in every sense of the word.

  12. Congrats Money!!! all in all, he did what he had to do to win a fight…… Its as simple as that. Why argue fight fans?

  13. @ frank cesar Your right my man. A lot of ppl jump on Floyds bandwagon cuz he’s rich, famous, undefeated, and popular. For some reason the type of person he is doesnt matter to them. I hope he meens it when he thanks God first but I have to wonder would he still do that if he lost, or if he didnt have everything he does. Is he thanking him for getting threw the fight safe or is just thankful he held on to that zero.

  14. I agree with you, but i’m not satisfied with the win of Mayweather against Ortiz. He is not a good example to the up coming new boxer. Look at his character and personality he is nothing. How can you respect Mayweather with that kind of character and personality. Mr Mayweather i’ll be happy with you if you just leave boxing and keep quiet and surrender yourself to the lord.

  15. @ Eze Z, I absolutely concur. If the tables happened to be turned EVERYTHING would’ve been acceptable. Since its an act done by Mayweather is taboo. Ha! Even Jesus had haters!

  16. What up? guys
First I’ll say I’m glad I pitched in with a bunch of friends to watch this sad display, who ever payed for this them selves must be pissed and I dont blame them if they are. I think three things went really wrong here. Ortiz screwed up by intentionally headbutting Floyd, it was uncalled for and stupid. He was wrong, we can all agree on that.

Floyd is one of the most skilled & talented boxers ever, but his skills & talent are only matched by his arrogance, ignorance and the fact that he’s an A-whole. The rule “protect your self at all times” is there so fighters dont get taken advantage of, now because that rule is in place it doesnt make it ok to take cheap shots. Anyone who is honest and has seen floyd fight know that he a borderline dirty fighter, he uses his elbows and he takes cheap shots when he gets the chance. He did it in the mosley fight and in others. The simple fact is he sucker punched Ortiz, which doesnt surprize me cuz like i said hes done it before. It’s a straight up BITCH move that he has no problem doing cuz (hes a bitch) and then he can hide behind the ” protect your self at all times” rule. It was like a playground fight from both of these idiots.

And Joe fucked up too YEA I SAID IT lmao. After Joe said lets go and floyd started to approch Ortiz, Joe then turn to talk to the time keeper. If he was going to do that he should’ve sent both fighters to their neutral corners and then spoken to the time keeper if thats what he was doing. Even if it was only two seconds, he wasnt paying attention. That was a very unprofessional performance on the part of both fighters. It was a disgrace they should be ashmed of them selves for acting like school yard children. Ortiz stouped down to floyds level and floyd was the same piece of shit he always is. Floyd “the saddest story in boxing” im going to copyright that so dont you guys try to use my book title ok LMAO.

  17. Floyd Mayweather has always had class in the ring, even when he was an amateur boxer. No one but Floyd knows what Ortiz said that made him so mad when he (Ortiz) leaned forward to apologize? or head butt? again, but whatever it was, it just shows that Oritiz is the kind of boxer that gives pro boxing a bad name.

  18. Author Edgar Gonzalez is right on the money with his comments. People always get all excited with the hype and build-up to big money fights, but the fact always was that Ortiz had a snow-balls chance in hell in winning this match-up , he would have been K-O’d eventually anyway so why all the unnecessary controversy ? “PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES” !

  19. These fighters are not amateurs. They know all too well the ATMOSPHERE within the ropes. Once the ref steps back it means “it’s on”. Okay, I’ll admit that it wasn’t the most “sportsman-like” BUT let’s set aside the distain/dislike/hate of Floyd and be more objective. This is the fight game. the juices get going, especially under circumstances/atmosphere which was CREATED BY ORTIZ. Has anybody put themselves in Floyd’s shoes. They weren’t in CHURCH, Joe Cortez is not a Priest/Pastor/Rabbi, they’re not fighting under unified “turn the other cheek” rules.

It is what it is, A FIGHT, men combating in a violent atmosphere. Fans yelling “HIT HIM, HARDER, BANG ‘EM UP, HIT HIM MORE, HARDER, HE’S READY, HE’S READY TO GO, GO IN FOR THE KILL, THAT’S IT, KILL HIM!!!! The ref has to do many things that most fans disregard besides the fighters like making sure the timekeeper didn’t miss anything, check the cornermen of both fighters to make sure they aren’t on the ring apron especially when they are trying to get the ref’s attention for whatever reason (complain, stop the fight…). and other things. ALL of the most competent refs have been involved in some sort of controversy, ALL have missed knockdown call and other stuff. Making no excuses for Cortez but he did his job. The one that DIDN’T do his job was VICTOR ORTIZ!!

Let’s say that IF… It was Floyd that FLAGRANTLY elbowed and fouled Victor and under similar circumstances. Let’s say that it was Floyd that violated boxing GOLDEN RULE and didn’t ‘protect himself at all times’ and Victor ‘cold cocked’ him after an “apology hug/kiss”. I’m SURE that Victor wouldn’t have gotten half the flack that Floyd’s getting, very little. To deny this is…. plain, un-adulterated BS!!

I’M NOT A FLOYD FAN. I’M A JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ FAN. JUST KEEPING IT REAL!!

  20. Ortiz got what he deserved for that blatant intentional head butt. Instant karma I say. Everyone should be mad at Ortiz for stopping the action and giving Floyd the chance to catch him like that. Had the Headbutt not happened, we not be havin this discussion. I wish Floyd didn’t do it but I can’t be mad at him for it and no sympathy to Ortiz cuz he made it dirty. And when Floyd backs u up and hits u with the straight right that early in the fight that easy, u have already lost. No reason for rematch really. I wasn’t impressed at all by ortiz

  21. Floyds fame is bcuz we hate him and now we hate him even more but its not soley on him its the ref that aparently didn’t do his job right. You send fighters to their neutral corners before you call time and take the point away. There was a reason for the but cuz floyds was buttin too… might as well be 0 and 42 cuz no one respects his “legacy”

  22. hey guys, can anyone tell me what has happened to the world boxing hall of fame, me and my friends booked to attend last years event in Vegas, but it was cancelled, and we lost a bundle of money on flights from the uk, and still have not had an apology from Armando Muniz, and no one seems to be saying anything. Would appreciate any info.

  23. Floyd is free of any guilt .Any boxer would have done what Floyd did .Come on now ,Ortiz tried to break Floyd’s jaw intentionally and the haters are dwelling on what Floyd did .
This is a lesson for Ortiz to understand the meaning of composure

  24. @ edgar,
I also heard of talks to make canelo vs chavez. don’t expect it anytime soon though. I think it’s more than a rumor. A week before the mayweather vs ortiz was officially announced, i mentioned it here and was dismissed as a rumor. anyway, if this fight does happen it should not be a main event although we all know it will be a big ticket seller.

  25. everyone needs to remember that the only one who broke the rules was ortiz. my god, ortiz hugged and kissed mayweather after the intentional butt. he then touched gloves with mayweather during the point deduction, then he wants to hug again after cortez calls for the action to continue ??? what’s with all the hugging ?? this is a prize fight. the “sorry,my bad” moment is passed after the kiss.

    @ jesse rendon,
ortiz was standing right in front of and facing mayweather when he got punched in the face. cortez had already called for the action to continue. how is that cowardly ? ortiz made a rookie mistake, plain and simple. after the first punch ortiz chose to look away from mayweather and keep his hands down. that does not warrant any type of protection. you’re supposed to be ready to fight when the ref calls for the action to continue. plain and simple.

if mayweather’s actions were considered illegal, then he should have been disqualified. they weren’t so he wasn’t disqualified. like i said before, at worst it was unsportsmanlike.

  26. @jesse rendon

that was rumors of Canelo to fight Chavez, it will not happen any time soon, and for the record Alfons Gomez Sucks. I predicted Canelo to win.

@Jim Are you forgetting who played dirty first? Ortiz head butted first. I know two wrongs dosent make it right, but dont act like Ortiz didnt do anything wrong.

@B.Miguel I agree, I was expecting a lot more from both fighters.

@im arsavs if this win means FLoyd will fight Pacquaio next.. I am totatly for it.

  27. Who ever made this video needs to get off floyds dick. What floyd did was wrong a real champion doesn’t win this way. Great move on Floyd telling Larry to go interview Ortiz, so they don’t bring up pacman. Lost all respects on Floyd and dont bother fighting pacman quit while your ahead.

  28. I disagree with you edgar, floyd should have not done that, what we fans wanted to see is a KO fair and square, not matter if it comes from the 1st round or 12th round, but what mayweather did can be done with anybody, even I or you edgar can knock people out when they are caught of guard, so technically! floyd cannot claim that he had KOed ortiz in a fight. anyway, good thing floyd got the big W so there’s a big chance that he and pacquiao can fight and I hope that should be a clean fight!

  29. I”m a big fan of floyd but what he did is a cheap shot, if i was ortiz i will also punch him after the fight when he is off guard, he even cannot explain to his fans why he did that on his interview, as i said i am a fan of floyd and i don’t care about ortiz but as of now, here,s what i can say! ” F..k you floyd”

  30. Technically, it’s all good if you want to claim that it isn’t dirty. I would agree that he was certainly able to do it but that doesn’t make it right. I don’t necessarily blame Floyd for taking the low end route (which is what it was), because he was probably still pissed at the stupid move by Ortiz with the head butt.

If you think, though, that this makes it a legit victory based on a fight that was on equal grounds in terms of where the each fighter was at in their heads (one was thinking they would have a respite while showing some sportsmanship and the other jumping in to take advantage of that), is stupid. It proves nothing except that Ortiz should have just shrugged it off and fought.

Plain and simple it was a dumbass ending to a superhyped fight. Regardless of who you were rooting for, if you don’t see that, than something is just screwed up in your head.

  31. HEY EDGAR u that suppose 2 know everything why havent u said that chavez jr and the gingerbread punk canelo fixing to promote their next fight wat i saw last night canelo fought a nobody i was looking at a draw and now he wants 2 fight chavez at yahoo.com mx they r announcing that Chávez Jr y Álvarez”, he wasnt able to fight a nobody he blocked the shots and they still stop the fight thats called bullshit now the dumbass wants to fight chavez i guess he is looking to get his ass kicked and why do i know all this before u did edgar so go to yahoo.com mx and read for yourself gingerbread gonna get whiped

  32. HEY JIM, IF EDGAR COWARDLY HEAD BUTTED YOU AND YOU COLD COCKED HIM FOR IT WOULD YOU GO TELL YOUR FRIENDS THAT YOU WERE WRONG FOR GETTING EVEN??

Com’on man, Ortiz STARTED what he couldn’t FINISH, plain and simple. I really didn’t expect Ortiz to win but I wanted him to put up a creditable performance. He didn’t and added insult to injury as well..

  33. HEY EDGAR IF I COLD COCKED YOU WHEN YOU WEREN’T LOOKING WOULD YOU GO TELLING YOU FRIENDS THAT I BEAT YOU FAIR AN SQUARE? I DOUBT IT. YOU ARE SHOWING YOUR IGNORANCE JUST LIKE YOUR HERO SHOWED HIS.

  34. Edgar, I totally agree. Maybe one can say that it was a “cheap shot” but it was a LEGAL ‘cheap shot’. In contrast, what Ortiz did was a desperation “cheap head butt”, a very ILLEGAL CHEAP HEAD BUTT!! And.. the end result of Victor’s INTENTIONAL FOUL was Floyd INTENTIONALLY knocking him out. Ortiz violated boxing’s GOLDEN RULE of “Protect Yourself At All Times” and Floyd took advantage of this GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY.

What Ortiz intended to do COULD’VE CAUSED a bad cut which COULD’VE CAUSED the fight to be stopped which COULD’VE CAUSED a “no decision” which WOULD’VE CAUSED the paying viewers to get cheated out of their money. So… at least we, the viewers, got a KNOCKOUT!!

Honestly, Ortiz’ conduct surprised me. After three rounds he knew that he was ‘out of his league’ and was mentally breaking down once again, but in a different manner than he did in the Maidana fight.

  35. I agree, if ortiz didn’t show such desperation it would’ve never caused money may to react that way. Victor did it to himself. He gets NO sympathy from me! Regardless of the matter victor was going to lose anyway

  36. Jesus, im sorry to say but maywether won in a coward way cause he didnt have the balls to fight him all the way. And Alvarez proved me right because he fought a no body and was having trouble with him,They didnt have no reason to stop the fight, the other guy was still blocking, so if he couldnt do nothing to a nobody theres no way he can beat chavez jr.

  37. @ Edgar,
I agree with you. I’m not the biggest Mayweather fan, but at worst what Floyd did was unsportsmanlike, at worst. Both punches were legal. Funny thing, after the fight I watch “face off” again and Floyd said ” if you make a mistake , you have to pay. ” Ortiz paid alright.
