Over the weekend, Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya announced on Twitter that on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, he will announce something big that will shake the boxing world.
“Major announcement soon to come that will shake the boxing industry in a major way,” twitted the Golden Boy.
Knowing Oscar De La Hoya, anything goes and I am not surprise of what he will probably announce. I think after De La Hoya confessed on camera about using drugs and having affairs but more shockingly De La Hoya admitting wearing the infamous fishnets, I don’t think he could say anything to top that.
We came to the conclusion that Oscar De La Hoya is far worse than Tiger Woods.
So what can Oscar possibly say that will shock the boxing world?
Maybe he will announce a possible come back? He has talked about coming out of retirement.
Maybe he will say he is gay?
Maybe he won’t promote anymore?
Or in a positive note, he would say he got a new TV network to put fights or maybe star in his own reality show.
What ever it might be, we will patiently wait for his special announcement.

If what Oscar posted on his twitter about never fighting again was his big announcement, it was a joke, like anybody anticipated watching him fight again. Sorry Oscar but nobody cares anymore, we saw what was left of you against Pacquiao and I for one was certainly not anticipating a comeback and will not lose any sleep over it.
I hope it has something positive to do with the sport, after all does Boxing need more controversy after the way this year’s started so far?

I wouldn’t be suprised if he came back to fight and attempt to beat the sons of fighters he defeated, Chavez, Paez, Camacho, etc.
Or then again he’s gay and will finally admit it.
A possible comeback ? Pacquiao really gave Oscar a hammering. I don’t think it’s a good idea.
