Manny Pacquiao Returns November 10th

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum will meet with Manny Pacquiao and adviser Michael Koncz in the Philippines to discuss Pacquiao’s next fight set for November 10, 2012. Before anything let me get this out of the way, Floyd Mayweather Jr., who was released from jail last week, will not be fighting Pacquiao.

Instead the three candidates to face Pacquiao next are, of course the rematch with Timothy Bradley Jr., Juan Manuel Marquez, who has already faced Pacquiao three times and Miguel Cotto whom Pacquiao knocked out in the 12th round in 2009.

These are fights nobody wants to see, well at least I don’t. Miguel Cotto already announced he will be fighting in December and there’s no reason for a rematch. Cotto lost fair and square.

Do we really want to see a 4th fight with Marquez?

Don’t get me wrong, each fight was exciting but what happens if Marquez wins? Is there going to be a 5th fight? It’s a never ending story, they need to move on.

Bradley will be the chosen one. Pacquiao will exercise his rematch clause for an immediate rematch and considering Bob Arum promotes both fighters, it will be an easy fight to make.

It sucks that the boxing fans don’t have a say so. It also sucks that the same candidates are always the same. The only one who wins here is Bob Arum. It all makes sense why they awarded Bradley with the shocking split decision, Bob Arum pays Manny less and he profits more.

Also, Pacquiao is not giving 100% anymore, he’s all into politics as he will be running for re-election as a congressman in the Philippines. He’s just losing interest for the sweet science. It is just a matter of time before the fans will also lose interest in him.
