Two days before Saul “Canelo” Alvarez steps in the ring with Austin Trout in a unification bout on Saturday night, authorities in Jalisco, Mexico, have issued an arrest warrant against “Canelo” and his brother Juan Ramon Alvarez.
Alvarez and his brother are wanted in Mexico due to alleged crimes against boxer Ulises “Archie” Solis in 2011. Alvarez allegedly attacked Solis on Oct. 25, 201,1 and broke his jaw and a tooth but “Canelo” has denied his involvement in the incident and contends that his brother was the one who engaged with Solis.
According to Ulises Solis, 108 lb titlist, “Canelo” confronted him about Marisol, Alvarez’s girlfriend at that time, that’s when things got heated and “Canelo” attacked him.

The “Canelo”-Trout fight is scheduled to take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. There’s no word if “Canelo” and his brother will be arrested before the fight. This will be a significant distraction for Alvarez as he prepares for the biggest test of his career.
