Recently The Guardian did a top ten most boring fighters and they ranked Floyd Mayweather Jr at the number 1 spot.
I could see how Floyd Mayweather Jr could be a boring fighter to the casual fight but for me Mayweather Jr is far from boring. He is one of the most interesting fighters I have ever seen. He knows how to move and beat a fighter. Who else do you know that is the highest paying athlete and wins all his fights without bleeding? The only fighter who made Floyd bleed was Miguel Cotto but not even “Canelo” was able to touch him. Floyd fought very smart and didn’t hold at all.
Apparently The Guardian is a fan of Manny Pacquiao cause all they want to see is brawling… which is good but boxing is about the sweet science. They even put Guillermo Rigondeaux in their list, what is wrong with them?
I will tell you who the boring fighters are.
Without hesitation Bernard Hopkins takes first place. His fights are boring. He loves to complain and hold. At age 50, he is just getting worse.
Devon Alexander is another fighter that will put me to sleep. Tied for second place is Chad Dawson.
Before his fight with Ruslan Provodnikov I hated Timothy Bradley, he was so boring and a dirty fighter. He had the habit of head butting you. I am curious how he will do with a veteran fighter like Juan Manuel Marquez this Saturday.

Now, stay with me and try to use your brain for a minute and understand what you are reading so that you don’t sound like a jackass this time. If you go back to my previous post I said its one thing to UNDERSTAND the craft of boxing and say you rather watch an all action fight. I get that! My argument is towards people that just don’t understand the skills and techniques of good boxers and therefor call it boring. If you get that boxers like Mayweather and Rigondeaux are really good at what they do and there for lack the great drama we all like ima fight than I understand that argument. But when I hear people say is boring because to them boxing is just about putting gloves on and going at it without skills needed I find that ignorant. Sure he is the best defensive fighter in the world but not the most interesting fighter to watch. I can tell the type of ignorant and desrespectful type of person you are. Boxing for you is two people with gloves on just going at it. Yes, I give you that that is entertaining. But boxing is about the skill of hitting and not getting hit. It’s not that we’re being kiss asses, it’s just that we understand the sport and there for appreciate the craft of the best boxers. Apparently you don’t understand the science of the sport and you’re only able to appreciate the knock out fights and that’s ok! But there is no need for stupid comments. Ricky Hatton was boring, he wrestled more than he box. By the way Mayweather is super boring, watch him against Baldomir, snoozefest kiss asses. Winky Wright is also intolerable to watch, he does not put people to sleep, but in a coma.
B-Hop, Vlad, Vitali, Alexander and Bradley in that order. Rigondeaux and Mayweather are entertaining true masters of their craft. They dont give us the life and death fights other guys do but it’s due to the extreme talent both men have.

We all like the all action slug fests but only pure boxing enthusiasts can appreciate the superior skills of Mayweather and Rigondeaux. It’s one thing to understand real boxing and say you rather watch an all action battle. But even than, if you get it than you understand the skill. I’ve heard people say all Mayweather does is run and won’t stand there to fight! This are the ignorant guys that call them selves BOXING FANS not understanding what just happened right before there eyes. They’re baffled how Mayweather got another victory even though the other fighters keep saying the same thing: I couldn’t find him, I couldn’t catch him, he is too fast, too ilusive, ect..
