Floyd Mayweather is doing a good job of humoring the public and the infamous, or shall I say “Notorious” Conor McGregor in building the most lopsided blockbuster boxing event I will likely ever witness. When I think of this fight and the WWF like hoopla surrounding it, I can’t help but think of the 1996 movie The Great White Hype starring Samuel Jackson, Daman Wayans, and Peter Berg. We all might be better served to just watch that installment versus the more expensive 2017 version starring Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather. The result is going to be the same but likely worth the entertainment (hopefully), considering we are looking at shelling out about 100 bucks on PPV to watch McGregor get clowned in the squared circle.
Despite the moronic McGregor and MMA betting fans putting money on the UFC star to win and bringing the odds gap down, rumored as high as +2200 at one point for McGregor and now all the way down to +400 (-600 for Mayweather), essentially saying McGregor is now only a four to one underdog is out of this world. If there is such a thing, I will go on record saying to you brilliant McGregor fans, that your Irish hero has LESS THAN ZERO CHANCE OF WINNING THIS FIGHT. That said, anyone that has a chunk of money, you will get no better paying interest on a savings account than getting an instant 16 percent on the dollar. It’s free money and you would be an idiot to think of any other outcome than a Mayweather victory.
To take it even further, Mayweather is at such a higher level in boxing than McGregor, that he could literally determine which round he could clown him and end the fight. Most people in the betting world know Mayweather’s inclination towards big money gambling; subsequently, don’t be surprised if he has minions all over the place doing exactly that and betting on himself to win outright or even in some propositional determined round bet. That’s how ridiculously lopsided this fight is, however I can’t wait to watch The GREATER WHITE HYPE!
That said, props to McGregor, with less than zero chance of winning, he is likely going to earn himself over one hundred million dollars in one night just from marketing himself brilliantly and running his mouth. He could fight for 20 years in the UFC and never have earned that kind of money. Hopefully the ring at T-Mobile arena is big enough for all of the crap (hype) we’ve all just stepped in. It’s definitely not big enough to hold both Mayweather and McGregor’s egos or the $100 million life size checks they each may literally bring into the ring. Good job fellas. Not bad for a couple guys who arguably can’t even read but can masterfully run their mouths.
