Champs and Fighters to Appear

The 19th Annual Dragonfest Martial Arts Expo will ignite Saturday, August 2 at the Glendale Civic Auditorium in Glendale, Calif.
This yearly event celebrates combat sports (including boxing) and will benefit founder Michael Matsuda’s Martial Arts History Museum in Glendale.
I’ve attended this celebration a couple times and fans are in for a knockout good time!
There will be champions, fight legends, actors, icons and more in the hall. With over 100 vendors participating in the show, fans have a chance to meet their heroes, shop for souvenirs, watch demonstrations,  listen to Q&A sessions and more.
Previous outings featured International Women’s Boxing Hall of Famer and National Boxing Hall of Fame Inductee Graciela Casillas (who has had 27 boxing matches), boxer/actor/kickboxer Danny Lopez, world boxing champion Mia St. John, actor/martial artist Michael Jai White (who played Mike Tyson in the HBO movie “Tyson”), Benny “The Jet” Urquidez (the uncle of undefeated rising star Iyana “Right Hook” Roxy” Verduzco), boxer/actor/martial artist David “Viking Samurai” Kurzhal, boxing trainer and actor Jeff Langton and many more!
Proceeds from the convention will benefit the nonprofit museum which recently held their official Grand Opening in Glendale after moving from their original location in Burbank.
I visited their new museum and it is amazing. There are World Boxing Council (WBC) belts on display, fight worn gear, autographed gloves, vintage photos, rare collectibles, one of a kind displays, and so much more.
Founder and museum president Michael Matsuda has also installed a special Women’s Wing in the new building which will showcase boxing champs as well.
Join the 2025 Dragonfest Saturday, August 2 and support the preservation and legacy of combat sports and martial arts!
