New Platform for Fans, Fighters and More

A brand new platform for combat sports is getting ready to launch June 3!
The Fightbook site will go live and be available for everyone connected to the fight world.
I caught up with Fightbook’s Mark Habibi at the “Championing Mental Health: A Night of Boxing” event recently held at the Avalon Hollywood. I met him through World Boxing Council’s (WBC) Nancy Rodriguez and I was interested to hear all about this exciting new site that will help streamline the sport, offer networking opportunities, and look to improve all aspects in boxing and other combat sports. It will be an all-in-one place to find resources and contacts; a social network for fighters, fans and everybody in the combat sports community.
While at the Avalon boxing event, Fightbook got a lot of attention with their exciting visuals and giveaways for the fans. There was a gorgeous vintage car showcased right outside the historic building, a T-shirt giveaway from a bevy of Fightbook beauties, and pretty ring card girls and spokesmodels available to take photos with the spectators. The company definitely made a huge splash at the live fight night!
And fight manager Habibi hopes to make a strong impact with Fightbook and is a passionate advocate to help athletes and those working in boxing circles and beyond.
“Fightbook is the centralized platform uniting the entire combat sports world–from fan to fighter,” Habibi tells me. “It’s the ultimate hub to connect, communicate, and do business.
“Fightbook is going to add more features over the next year. This launch will be the minimum viable product. Many, many more features to come. Very limited capability in version one (initial launch). We expect feedback and will make adjustments as we progress.”
Habibi and his team’s new site looks to be an innovative resource to the fight world. I think Fightbook can help the fight community connect, promote and grow within their field. And the best part of this new feature is that is it open to everyone from beginners to veterans. All are included: athletes, trainers, promoters, ring announcers, ring rentals, ring card girls, nutritionists, sponsors, attorneys, matchmakers, photographers, videographers and more.
And the Fightbook crew has an extremely busy schedule beginning this week–see below for their impressive itinerary! The group has a jam-packed schedule for the next three months. The boxing community around the U.S. can meet some of the members and spokespeople at various conventions, Hall of Fames, live fight nights, charity events, golf outings, etc.
Congrats to Mark Habibi and his team for the launch of Fightbook and hope you have a knockout opening day!
