Catching Up with Author Gary Todd
A new boxing book was just released on February 2 and is available now for purchase. The highly-anticipated “Greatest Ever Boxing Champions: Their Minds, Their Workouts and Their Journeys” by noted author Gary Todd is the latest in his knockout series of workout titles. He is also the author of his biographical “Annie’s Boy” about his hardscrabble childhood growing up in Dundee, Scotland.
The boxing veteran now resides in Sydney, Australia and continues to work in the fight game. With over 50 years of experience, Gary has really done it all in the sport as a fighter, trainer, cutman, writer, artist, live fight analyst and so much more.

His brand new book (New Holland Publishers, 24.99 USD) is the perfect addition to any boxing fan’s collection. The beautiful cover gives way to pages filled with fighters and champion’s biographies and photos, original artwork, workout details, and “Day in the Life” tidbits. It’s a very entertaining read.
I caught up with the popular author to hear his thoughts on his newest book release.
Michele Chong: Hi Gary, congrats again on your new book! What has been the reaction from friends, fans and the fighters?
Gary Todd: Hello Michele. Thank you. The response has been very good from boxing fans around the boxing fraternity. I’m happy that the boxers featured are pleased with my book.
MC: Do you have any book signings coming up?
GT: I have been doing book signings around Sydney and a few of the gyms. Like a Q&A storytelling. I’ve also been on a couple of podcasts.
MC: And for those that would like to purchase a copy, what’s the best way to order your book?
GT: If anyone is interested in getting the book, it’s available now in stores in Barnes and Noble, Target and online.
MC: I’m really enjoying “Greatest Ever Boxing Champions” and I think boxing fans around the world will really like it too!
GT: Thanks for your time, Michele. All the best. Much appreciated.
